Our New Home!

Exciting News!
Seventeen years ago, Samuel Fuller School began with a vision to help advance the kingdom of God through classical Christian education. Over that time we have served about 100 families and 200 students from twenty-two churches in over twenty towns. Our graduates have gone into the trades, colleges, and graduate school. Some are now married, working, and serving in their local churches. New England is a mission field, and we believe Samuel Fuller School serves a critical role in building mature and capable disciples of Jesus Christ to serve him here and around the world.
But for many years, the school has struggled with adequate space to meet. First Congregational Church has been a gracious host since our beginning, but we have stretched the limits of their ability to provide room, and that has restricted our ability to serve our students as well as we would like and to further implement our vision. But now there is the potential to own our own building with adequate space to serve our students for years to come. Praise the Lord!

In March of 2025, the SFS Board of Directors and Facilities Committee, with the help of several SFS parents, found a building in Middleborough, just eight minutes from our current location that is in pristine condition and highly configurable to the needs of our school. The Board of Directors visited the site, had it closely inspected, and the faculty also checked it out. All were unanimously enthusiastic!

What's
Next?
Thus began a whirlwind spring and summer. In June we initiated a fund-raising campaign, within eight weeks, God provided $215,000 in donations and pledges—enough, with our $265,000 in savings, to move forward.
So, on August 4—with thanks to the Lord!—the SFS Board voted unanimously to enter into a lease-to-own agreement. In the short time that followed, we moved in desks, books and supplies, made some necessary updates, and prepared the classrooms. By the first day of school, we were ready!
But while this is a wonderful beginning, there is still much to do.

To make Abbey Lane our permanent home, we need to raise an additional $600,000 to complete both renovations and the purchase. We also want to increase our enrollment to at least 80 students for next fall.

Renovate the Building
-
Finish the lower level with:
-
Eight new classrooms
-
Two restrooms
-
HVAC installation
-
Full handicap accessibility and a second set of stairs to the main level
-
-
Reconfigure an upper wing to serve as a flexible, multi-purpose space for gatherings, events, and more.
-
Thankfully the building is in excellent condition and none of the work involves repairs or moving structural, load-bearing walls.
-
Our Facilities Committee has engaged an architect for detailed architectural drawings and specific costs.
-
Current estimated cost of renovations: $560,000

Transition from Lease to Purchase
-
Purchasing our building will reduce our monthly expenses, as our new mortgage will be significantly lower than our current lease.
-
Downpayment required: $320,000
Increase enrollment
-
With the greater stability of a new home and improved classroom space, we are eager to welcome new students and families to the school. After all, that is why we are here!
-
Our goal for the 2026-27 school year is at least 80 students.
-
Our plan is that the new building will be able to accommodate up to 120 students.
Raise the Remaining Funds Needed
-
In addition to our current savings and the funds raised this summer in donations and pledges, which altogether total $480,000, we need an additional $600,000.
-
This total includes the one-year costs of operating the school at two sites and maintaining a prudent reserve for unexpected expenses.
How Can You Help?
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us? A gift of $250, $500, $1,000, $5,000 or more will directly help us close the gap and secure this building for generations of students. Especially if you have not already given to this effort, we invite you to join with others in making classical Christian education available in
southeast Massachusetts.

You can also help by sharing the good news of Samuel Fuller School—telling families about enrollment opportunities, encouraging friends and relatives to give, and sharing our posts on Facebook. Above all, please continue to pray
for God’s provision and blessing as we move forward.

For eighteen years, the Lord has guided and provided for Samuel Fuller School.
He has graciously opened the door to Abbey Lane.
We continue to trust Him to make it fully ours—for His glory.

Soli Deo Gloria
